Named Monolithic Rocks and Formations

This group collects the Inselbergs and Crystalline Monoliths subcategory's members that are named individual rock formations, hills, ridges and outcrops of crystalline rock rising from their surroundings, from Scottish sandstone mountains such as Liathach and Stac Pollaidh to African, Asian and American granite hills such as Mount Erongo, Sanqing Mountain and Pic Boby, where the source description does not itself frame the formation as a dome-shaped bornhardt, a technical-climbing peak or spire, a flat-topped table mountain, a monadnock in the classic eastern-US sense, a coastal formation or a balancing rock. It is this subcategory's general default group for a named crystalline monolith or inselberg that does not fit one of the subcategory's more specific landform-type groups.
