Balancing and Split Rocks

This group collects the Inselbergs and Crystalline Monoliths subcategory's members that are named for a precarious or split rock form rather than for being a hill or mountain in their own right: balancing rocks poised on a narrower base, such as Chiremba Balancing Rocks and Krishna's Butterball, and boulders split cleanly in two, such as Split Apple Rock. These are the subcategory's smallest and most visually distinctive group, defined by the improbable shape of one boulder rather than by the scale of a hill or mountain.
