This child group collects Glaciers of Antarctica members located on the Antarctic Peninsula itself, including Graham Land, Palmer Land, Trinity Peninsula and Alexander Island, together with nearby sub-Antarctic islands such as the South Shetland Islands, King George Island and South Georgia. This is the warmest and most rapidly changing part of Antarctic glaciation, and its many small named glaciers, mapped in detail by British, Polish, Chilean, Argentine and other national Antarctic surveys operating from stations in this sector, make it the largest of the four regional child groups.
