Peros Banhos is an atoll in the Chagos Archipelago, uninhabited from the 1971 expulsion of the Chagossians until a group of four returned in 2026 to settle on the Ile du Coin. Ile Yeye, at the atoll's northeastern corner, is the part of the Chagos Archipelago closest to the Maldives.
