Sow and Pigs Reef is a rocky reef in Sydney Harbour, New South Wales, Australia, on the eastern side of the main shipping channel between Middle Head and South Head. It is about 150 meters long and up to 70 meters wide; known to the D'harawal people as Boora Birra, it was originally exposed and resembled a sow with her litter before explosives were used to reduce it, so that today it is exposed only at very low tide. A number of ships have been wrecked or damaged after striking the reef.
