All Glacial Cirques and Basins

Amphitheatre-shaped hollows and basins hollowed by glaciers high on mountain slopes, where ice quarried the rock and left a steep headwall and a rounded floor. A basin belongs here when its cited article calls it a cirque or a glacial basin. It excludes tectonic and sedimentary basins. Many hold small lakes, and the surviving examples record where glaciers once flowed in mountain ranges across Europe and Asia.
